Elder-Beerman set to open on Thanksgiving with gift card giveaway

The parent company of Elder-Beerman has announced all of its stores will open at 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving night.

The Bon-Ton Stores Inc., which operates Elder-Beerman and other stores, will open all stores at 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving night. They will offer more than 700 door busters and deals, according to a news release.

The first 200 people at the door will receive a gift card between $5 and $500. The in-store speacials will be valid through 3 p.m.

“Bon-Ton is excited to kick off the holiday shopping season with inspiring gifts for the entire family,” said Kathryn Bufano, president & CEO of Bon-Ton Stores, Inc. “Whether shopping in our stores or online, customers will find great Black Friday deals for everyone on their list.”

Cyber Monday deals include free shipping.

Elder-Beerman has locations at the Dayton Mall, the Mall at Fairfield Commons and the Towne Mall in Middletown.

The Bon-Ton Stores, with corporate headquarters in York, Penn. and Milwaukee, Wis., operates 267 stores, which includes nine furniture galleries and four clearance centers.
