The Fairborn Chamber of Commerce has named its new executive director.
Matt Owen, the former head of the Preble County chamber, has been named executive director effective on Nov. 14. Owen worked as the executive director for Preble County for the past five years.
“We are extremely excited to welcome a person with such a vast background of Chamber experience,” said Karen Huelsman, board president. “Matt has 16 years of chamber of commerce involvement, which includes 10 years of executive director leadership.”
He also worked for the Tipp City Chamber of Commerce and the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce. Owen replaces Paul Newman Jr., who was selected to serve as economic development director for Greene County.
