Fairborn firm, GE win big defense orders

A Fairborn firm has a role in the execution of an $88.7 million defense contract.

Solutions Through Innovative Technologies of Fairborn will join Booz Allen Hamilton, Deloitte Consulting LLP and Logistics Management Institute, all of Virginia, for strategic workforce analysis planning and management for the Defense Intelligence Agency, a Department of Defense announcement said.

This contract will provide support services for “strategic workforce planning and analysis initiatives to support career field managers and organizational talent and position management requirements,” the department said.

Work will be performed in the Washington, D.C. area with an estimated completion date of Oct. 17, 2024.

And the DoD also reported an $8.7 million delivery order for General Electric Co., under a previously-awarded basic ordering agreement for integrated electronic controller kits for LM2500 marine gas turbine engines.

Work will be performed in Cincinnati and is expected to be completed by December 2020.
