Flying Ace secures Moraine land for possible new car wash

Ohio car wash chain has been expanding

It appears the company behind the chain of local Flying Ace car wash stations remains in expansion mode.

A company associated with the chain recently bought nearly an acre and a half of land off West Dorothy Lane, Montgomery County property records show.

The parcel is west of South Dixie Drive near Elbee Road in Moraine.

Flying Ace Dorothy Lane purchased the land for $742,500 from Moraine SAB LLC.

Express Wash Concepts, the Columbus area-based parent company of Flying Ace Express Car Wash, has been expanding fairly aggressively of late, announcing its fifth area location in December. A new car wash recently opened in Englewood, at 9204 N. Main St.

Another new Flying Ace opened early this year at 3200 Seajay Drive in Beavercreek.

Dan Eisenhauer, Express Wash’s vice president of operations, referred questions Monday to the company’s marketing and development staff, but said: “Yes, you’re right on track, and we do have something new coming.”

The car washes tend to be styled with a retro-airplane hangar theme. The company touts its “three-minute, environmentally friendly car wash system” that washes vehicles with under 20 gallons of fresh water.
