“Grand openings are a lot of fun for everyone; it’s our way of introducing ourselves to new neighbors and letting them see what Fresh Thyme can offer,” Fresh Thyme’s CEO Chris Sherrell said in a release.
The South Metro Regional Chamber will host a ribbon cutting at the store at 6:45 a.m. March 25, followed by the doors opening at 7 a.m.
The company hosted a job fair earlier this month, and company officials said they were planning to hire about 90 employees for the new store.
Fresh Thyme also is planning a Beavercreek location, at 2850 Centre Drive near the Mall at Fairfield Commons, that is projected to open later this year.
The company focuses on organic and healthy fare. It enters a health-foods market in Montgomery County’s south suburbs that already includes Earth Fare in Centerville and Health Foods Unlimited in Miami Twp., and which will soon include Whole Foods in Washington Twp., still under construction. And several grocers, including Dorothy Lane Market, Meijer, Trader Joe’s and Kroger, have increased their organic-food and produce options.
