Luttrell began with Goodwill Industries in 1979 and came to Dayton, her third Goodwill affiliate, in 1998. She has guided the organization through rapid growth and expansion of services for people with disabilities and other needs. In 1999, Goodwill merged locally with Easter Seals of West Central Ohio to form a single entity, Goodwill Easter Seals Miami Valley.
When Luttrell arrived, Goodwill served 1,260 people in 11 services, assisted 389 people in obtaining a job, and employed 302 people with disabilities. In 2013 GESMV served 15,391 children and adults in more than 40 programs and services, assisted 1,060 people in obtaining a job, and employed 616 people with disabilities.
