A new Dayton-area Goodwill is on the way and will set up shop on Miller Lane.

Melissa Fowler, spokeswoman for Goodwill Easter Seals Miami Valley, confirmed the purchase of a former steak house on Miller Lane, she confirmed Thursday, to our news partner Dayton Daily News. The location at 6868 Miller Lane in Butler Twp. was the site of the Lone Star Steakhouse.

The retail store could open by fall of next year, Fowler told DDN.

The restaurant building would be torn down and Goodwill would build a 15,000-square-foot store in its place. About 24 full and part-time employees could work at the store.

Goodwill Easter Seals Miami Valley is headquartered at 660 S. Main St. The nonprofit specializes in serving children and adults with autism spectrum disorder and other disabilities or special needs, according to its website.
