Grand opening Saturday for wine shop displaced by fire

RIVERSIDE — Manor Wine & Spirits, displaced by a fire in February 2011 when several Page Manor shopping center businesses burned, will host a grand opening of its new, permanent location in the rebuilt shopping center from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10.

The grand opening marks the culmination of a 21-month rebuilding process that included reopening in temporary quarters within the same shopping center while construction continued on the permanent location. The new 3,200-square-foot Manor Wine & Spirits is located at 5544 Airway Road, a few doors down from its original location.

The grand opening event will include a wine tasting, a tasting of five or six seasonal beers, and live music, Manor Wine owner Greg Schultz said. Schultz said he plans to launch regular Friday night and/or Saturday afternoon wine and beer tastings in the coming weeks. “I’m looking forward to seeing old friends as well as new customers,” he said.

Manor Wine & Spirits is open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, closed Sunday. For more information, call (937) 254-5556.
