Green Energy Ohio hosts open houses

Green Energy Ohio, a non-profit renewable energy advocacy group, will showcase clean energy with a series of tours and open houses throughout the state the weekend of Oct. 3-5.

Nine guided tours are available in Akron, Canton, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Oberlin, Springfield, Urbana and in Paulding County at the Timber Road II Wind Farm.

In addition, there are more than 160 open houses at over 100 tour sites that include private homes, businesses and public locations such as schools, colleges, parks and zoos.

“The free GEO Tour is a great opportunity for Ohioans to learn first-hand about the latest in solar, wind, biomass and energy efficiency,” said Bill Spratley, the group’s executive director, in a statement.

More information about tour locations and times is available online at greenenergyohio.org/ost.
