Greene Memorial dedicates new $2.2 million laboratory

XENIA — Greene Memorial Hospital dedicated its new cardiac cath and interventional imaging laboratory on Thursday, Sept. 17, according to a press release.

The $2.2 million laboratory, which opened July 1, has the capability of treating heart and vascular disease, plus back pain through minimally invasive techniques.

Services include diagnostic heart catheterizations, cardioversions, pacemaker and internal defibrillator placement, transesophageal echocardiograms, and angiography and stenting of other blood vessels in the body.

A digital imaging system, General Electric’s Innova 4100, provides detailed, real-time images during procedures in which exactitude matters.

Greene Memorial Hospital is affiliated with Kettering Health Network. KHN has announced plans to focus services for an aging population at Greene Memorial as it plans to build a new hospital in Beavercreek.
