Huber Heights health care company files for bankruptcy protection

DAYTON — Lowex Inc., a Huber Heights health care company, filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy protection on Friday, Oct. 16, in U.S. Bankruptcy Court.

The company, whose office address is 7117 Taylorsville Road, listed assets of $2,000 and liabilities of $150,470.

The companies holding the largest unsecured nonpriority claims include American Express of Dallas ($24,172); Bank of America of Wilmington, Del. ($21,115); Frederick J. Hanna & Associates, P.C. of Marietta, Ga. ($19,658); Chase of Wilmington, Del. ($17,926); Advanta Bank Corp. ($17,741); and Business Loan Center of New York ($17,664).

Joan Lowe, the company’s president, could not be reached for comment on Monday, Oct. 19. Lowex’s attorney, Keith Fricker, was not immediately available for comment.

Chapter 7 filings usually lead to the liquidation of a company.
