Italian chain announces third Dayton-area location

The Piada Italian Street Food restaurant chain has signed a lease to open its third Dayton-area location, Piada spokeswoman Meghan Dauer said Tuesday.

Piada opened its first location at 1047 Miamisburg-Centerville Road in the Township Square shopping center in Washington Twp. last October, and has chosen a Kettering location at 4397 Far Hills Ave. near Shroyer Road for its second Dayton-area restaurant. The Columbus-based chain has now signed a lease for space at 3286 Pentagon Blvd. near the Mall at Fairfield Commons in Beavercreek for its third location, Dauer said.

Both the Kettering location — which will be new construction — and the leased Beavercreek location are scheduled to open this fall, Dauer said. And both will employ 35 to 40 people. The Kettering restaurant, located in an out lot in front of The Arbor shopping center, will seat about 66 diners inside, and another 68 on a patio, the Piada spokeswoman said. The Beavercreek restaurant will seat 76 inside and another 18 on a patio.

The Piada concept, featuring custom-rolled wraps, pasta bowls and salads, is the brainchild of Chris Doody, co-founder of the Bravo and Brio Italian restaurant chains. Doody said last year that he chose Dayton as the first expansion of Piada outside of the Columbus area because the Dayton area “has been a great market for Brio and Bravo.”
