Some of the hires will be in the Dayton area.
“Yes, some of the hires will be in Dayton at our financial centers – this includes tellers and personal bankers,” Fifth Third spokeswoman Laura Trujillo said in an email to the Dayton Daily News.
She did not have an estimate on the number of expected Dayton hires, but said many of the hires overall will be in Cincinnati with Fifth Third’s call centers and mortgage center.
Open roles are available across Fifth Third Bank’s 10-state footprint and include 500 positions in retail, 350 mortgage sales and support positions and 100 positions in operations, the bank said.
Fifth Third’s starting wage is $18 an hour and provides a benefits package, the bank said.
In addition, certain on-site employees hired by May 10 are eligible for up to $1,000 in additional payments, Fifth Third also said.
