Kettering florist will close

KETTERING — Simply Floral, a florist shop at 22 W. Stroop Road near Far Hills Ave., plans to close permanently on Dec. 15.

Regina Ellis, co-owner of the store, said she and Tori West opened Simply Floral five years ago after the closure of nearby Groby’s Garden Center, where they ran the floral department.

Ellis said Simply Floral has not drawn enough customers during the economic downturn to stay open. The store will remain open until Dec. 15, for daily fresh orders and to sell inventory.
