Kettering Health Network and the Preble County Youth Foundation (PCYF) have agree to a land swap that would give the hospital network 10 acres of land next to its emergency center adjacent to the Preble County Medical Center.

In return, the youth foundation will receive 14 acres of land from Kettering that sits behind the medical center, local YMCA and the Sinclair Community College campus on Washington-Jackson Road in Eaton.

Kettering said in a press release that it will use some of the land it acquired to add a permanent medical helicopter and base at the medical center, which is accredited through Grandview Medical Center and is also part of the health network.

“This land swap is a win-win for the Preble County Youth Foundation and Kettering Health Network,” said Bill Dues, a retired judge and chairman of the PCYF. “The land we received from the network is in a good location for the future expansion of the YMCA and the PCYF.”
