Another group of Navistar workers in Springfield are expected to be laid off on Friday, according to local union officials.
The layoffs are expected to include approximately 62 members of UAW Local 402. That union represents assembly production workers at Navistar’s Springfield plant, which makes medium-duty commercial trucks and vans.

This is the latest round of layoffs at the plant after 30 workers were laid off near the end of November.
Before that, 126 assembly production workers were laid off in September after Navistar announced that it would reduce the number of trucks built on its main line in Springfield.
