LexisNexis partners with VCE for cloud-based systems, software

LexisNexis Legal and Professional, a legal research and business information firm in Miami Twp., has announced an alliance with VCE Co. to provide litigation service bureaus and large law firms with on-premises cloud computing systems, bundled with electronic discovery software.

The package is designed to handle large-scale electronic discovery projects, officials said.

Texas-based VCE is a pioneer in the development of converged IT infrastructure systems.

LexisNexis will package two electronic discovery software tools, LAW PreDiscovery and Concordance Evolution, with VCE’s Vblock Systems.

“LexisNexis customers deploying this new bundled solution will only pay for the storage and software seats that they actually use, making it a cost-effective solution for large law firms and service bureaus,” said Matt Gillis, vice president and managing director of the company’s Litigation Tools & Professional Services division.

LexisNexis has about 3,400 employees and contractors in Miami Twp. at its Legal and Professional division, which is the company’s biggest single concentration of employment.
