LexisNexis redesigning statistics access service

NEW YORK — LexisNexis said it plans to redesign its LexisNexis Statistical service, which provides access to statistics produced by federal and state agencies and business organizations, to improve its search performance.

The redesign is intended to give researchers quicker and more precise access to statistical information, the company said. LexisNexis said it has enlisted an advisory group of academic librarians for help in the process.

Developments are to be posted at http://wiki.lexisnexis.com/academic under “statistical.”

The company’s U.S. operations include a 3,000-employee campus along Interstate 75 in Miami Twp., south of Dayton.
