Local aerospace manufacturer acquires Cleveland-area firm

Enginetics Aerospace, a Huber Heights sheet metal fabricator, has acquired Weber Technologies Inc., of Eastlake, Ohio.

The closing of the acquisition was Wednesday. Terms were not disclosed.

The acquisition includes an 80,000-square-foot Weber facility. Weber retains its identify for now, said Aaron Hamer, Enginetics’ chief financial officer.

Enginetics makes complex sheet metal fabrications for commercial and military aircraft engines, serving all major original equipment manufacturers, the company said in an announcement. Weber supplies metal-formed components to the aerospace industry.

Hamer would not disclose exactly how many local employees Enginetics has, but said the number was in the 100-300 range. He would not disclose how many employees Weber has.

“We think employment at both facilities will grow,” Hamer said.

The acquisition will provide capacity to take advantage of the “many opportunities in the aerospace industry,” a statement from Enginetics said.

Enginetics was founded in 1976.
