Osteopathic physicians represent 16 percent of Ohio physicians and 28 percent of the family physicians in the state.
Both state physician lobbying groups now have presidents from the Dayton area.
Ohio State Medical Association, which represents doctors, in April named Dr. Evangeline Andarsio, a professor at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine, as the new president.
