Lockheed-Martin gets $199 million foreign military sales contract

The Air Force has awarded Lockheed-Martin Corp. a $199.3 million contract to provide 18 F-16 fighter aircraft, with technical and equipment support, to the government of Iraq through the U.S. foreign military sales program.

Under the program, the foreign government pays for all costs of the military equipment and the Defense Department staff supporting the order.

The Aeronautical Systems Center, now part of the newly operating Air Force Life Cycle Management Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, issued the contract. Lockheed-Martin is to complete the work by May 30, 2018.
