MacAulay-Brown awarded $47M contract

Defense contractor MacAulay-Brown Inc. has been awarded a five-year, $47 million contract from the U.S. Air Force, company officials announced Tuesday.

MacAulay-Brown will investigate, analyze and develop full adaptable and proactive electronic warfare solutions to counter rapidly evolving challenges to spectrum dominance faced by U.S. and Allied forces, officials said.

The company is one of seven prime contractions named to the contract.

Working in partnership with the Air Force Research Laboratory at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, MacAulay-Brown’s work will focus on traditional and irregular spectrum warfare, with an emphasis on incorporating cyberspace operations, for effective countermeasure and protection missions.

“Spectrum dominance is critical to winning on the modern battlefield,” said Tim Lawrence, senior vice president and general manager of MacAulay-Brown’s Advanced Technology Group, in a statement.

The company has worked the Air Force for 35 years to develop many of the electronic warfare systems in use today, he said.
