Mikesell’s recalling chips for possible Salmonella contamination

Mikesell’s Potato Chip Company is recalling a product in Ohio and other states in the region due to a possible Salmonella contamination.

The company is recalling its 2.25 ounce Nacho Cheese Tortilla Chips. The recalled chips were distributed in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan and Illinois. The product is marked with UPC number 071104005543 with a sell by date of Feb. 2, 2016 or Feb. 16, 2017 stamped on the upper right corner.

No illnesses have been reported yet in connection with this problem. People infected with Salmonella often experience a fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain.
