According to a statement from Miller-Valentine, the company’s 48 employees will move to their new offices in October after renovations are complete on the second floor of the building.
Dave Dickerson, president of Miller-Valentine Group Dayton construction sales and development, said the company considered several office spaces throughout the Dayton area.
“This location was identified as the best suited for our Associates as well as our business goals,” he stated. “We are committed to the revitalization of the Dayton area, and truly enjoy all the opportunities the downtown area has to offer.”
Miller-Valentine’s current Dayton headquarters is at 137 N. Main St., also known as the Barclay Building.
The Dayton Daily News previously reported the 10-story building will be converted into a boutique hotel by Lawyers Development Corp. of Columbus and First Hospitality of Chicago.
The Monument Avenue building is near the riverfront, between Fifth Third Field and the Water Street District apartments.
The other tenants at 409 Monument Ave. include Five Rivers Metro Parks, ADAMHS, Bridge Credit Union, Huntington Bank, Marsh and McLennan Agency.
Marsh and McLennan is moving out of the building in 2020 to one of the Water Street District buildings, which will mean the the entire 27,000-square-foot fourth floor will be available, according to Tony Taylor, with Crest Commercial Realty, who represents the building owner in leasing.
