1. Allegiant to add new flights in Cincinnati
Allegiant is adding nonstop service from the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport to two new destinations.
The low-cost carrier will now fly to Charleston, South Carolina and Sarasota, Fla. Flights from Cincinnati to Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport begin on April 13 with one-way fares as low as $48. 2. United to add nonstop flight to Houston from Dayton
United Airlines will add a new nonstop flight from the Dayton International Airport to Houston.
Dayton was one of eight cities chosen by United for the nonstop routes, according to the city. The new flights will begin June 7. The addition of Houston will be the 17th nonstop destination from Dayton airport. Dayton airport is currently served by Delta Air Lines, American Airlines, Allegiant Air and United Airlines. 3. Southwest Airlines adds new flight at local airport
Southwest Airlines has added a new flight from Cincinnati to Phoenix.
The flight schedule aligns with the Cincinnati Reds spring training in Goodyear, Arizona — a 25-minute drive from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. Daily flights will operate March 8 to April 7. Southwest started service at the Cincinnati airport during the summer, after halting all flights at the Dayton International Airport. READ MORE
