New men’s shop to open in downtown Dayton

A new clothing and accessories store called Linwood Men's Specialty Shoppe will open next month in downtown Dayton.

Renovations are underway at 27 S. St. Clair St. next to Serendipity Bistro, and the store is projected to open by Oct. 21, according to William Jarvis III of Trotwood, the shop’s owner. Jarvis said he expects to set up a table outside the store tonight, Sept. 12, during downtown Dayton’s Urban Nights events to introduce the business.

“This St. Clair Lofts space was a good fit for what we’re trying to do,” Jarvis said. “I want to be part of the revitalization of downtown Dayton.”

The shop will sell men’s suits, business-casual clothing, jeans, ties, watches, wallets, belts, cuff links and other accessories, and will special-order clothing and other items, Jarvis said. He also intends to install a humidor so he can sell cigars.

Once open, the shop’s hours will be 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, and by appointment Sunday.
