New SAIC building acquired by property firm

Commercial property manager Thompson National Properties LLC said late Wednesday it has acquired the new home of SAIC in Beavercreek, 3745 Pentagon Blvd.

A ribbon cutting at the 86,928-square-foot building was held last week with Ohio Lt. Gov. Mary Taylor and Stu Shea, SAIC chief operating officer. The three-story building was completed in June with SAIC in mind.

A release from Thompson did not disclose terms of the acquisition, but it said it was financed by American National Insurance Co.

SAIC opened its regional office to focus on aeronautics, human performance issues, logistics as well as manned and unmanned aircraft.

Thompson National Properties manages a portfolio of 149 commercial properties in 30 states, totaling some 17.4 million square feet on behalf of more than 5,600 investor/owners, the company said.
