The Ohio Tax Credit Authority has approved a tax credit for Tyler Technologies Inc., hoping the company will create 225 new jobs in Moraine.
The Tyler project is expected to generate $15.6 million in new annual payroll while protecting $11.6 million in existing payroll. Tyler Technologies provides software and technology to the public sector, including city, county, state and school district governments.
The Tax Credit Authority approved a 2.035 percent, six-year “job creation tax credit” for the Moraine project.
In all, the authority approved credits for seven projects the state hopes will create a total 1,430 new jobs while retaining 1,970 jobs statewide.
During its monthly meeting Monday, the authority reviewed economic development proposals that are expected to result in more than $96 million in new payroll and spur more than $100 million in investments across Ohio.
