Online distribution company to employ 50 people in Monroe

MONROE — The Ohio Tax Credit Authority has approved a tax credit of $97,837 over six years for a Nebraska-based online retailer that plans to operate a distribution center in Monroe.

In return, Ohio is requiring that Hayneedle maintain operations in Monroe for nine years. Hayneedle said it expects to employ about 50 people at the distribution warehouse, with an annual payroll of $1.4 million, and will begin hiring immediately prior to its opening in June at the Monroe Logistics Center site.
