Pizza stores close in Fairborn, Springboro

Papa Murphy’s Take ‘N’ Bake pizza shops at 662 N. Main St. in Springboro and at 1894 S. Maple Ave. in Fairborn have closed.

Regarding the Springboro location that closed earlier this month, “We learned that the location wasn’t the best — (it was) hard to get in/out of from the main highway — and it didn’t generate enough sales to sustain itself,” said Lindsi Taylor, director of corporate communications and marketing for Papa Murphy’s International.

There are no immediate plans to reopen elsewhere in Springboro, Taylor said. About five employees were affected by the closing, and two or three of those employees moved to other Papa Murphy’s locations, she said.

Taylor said she was researching the Fairborn closing, which occurred about six weeks ago.

Phone calls to the Springboro pizza shop are being referred to the Papa Murphy’s location at 832 S. Main St. (Ohio 48) in Centerville. Phone calls to the Fairborn location are being rerouted to a Papa Murphy’s store in Beavercreek. The chain also operates a third Dayton-area location in Kettering.
