Radiance Technologies, which moved to Springfield Street about six months ago from an office on Presidential Drive, is working with the United Auto Workers to retrain a few of its former members to join their business.
“We’re trying to put out-of-work people back to work,” said Dan Lewandowski, director of Radiance’s Dayton operations.
The retraining course is expected to take about two weeks, followed by on-the-job training. They will work in intelligence analysis.
The company has an option on its lease to add another 10,000 square feet to its facility. Riverside is Radiance’s fourth largest branch.
“This is good for the city of Riverside, and it’s the type of jobs we’re looking for and complements the defense community well,” said Bob Murray, Riverside’s economic development director.
