Restaurants' owners selling businesses to focus on catering

WASHINGTON TWP., Montgomery County — Chef Matthew Hayden says his family’s effort to sell the Pour Haus, in Washington Twp., and the Chimneys Inn of Miamisburg is part of a plan to focus on the business of catering for large-audience events.

The Hayden family wants to sell those restaurants and buy a centralized location in the Dayton area to support catering for events of 100 diners or more, said Matthew Hayden, an owner of both restaurants. He is looking to acquire a building for the catering business that the family already has under way, he said Tuesday, Oct. 6.

The Pour Haus, a restaurant and sports bar at 536 Miamisburg-Centerville Rd., is on the market for $225,000. That would include the business, its equipment and liquor license, but not the building. The eatery’s space is leased from the Oberer Cos.

The Chimneys Inn is being offered for $350,000, including the liquor license and the landmark building it occupies at 67 S. Main St. in Miamisburg.
