“This program is ideal for individuals and groups who will be leading improvement efforts for their plants,” Donna Hoying, certification training leader for Sinclair, said in an announcement from the college. “Employees who would benefit from this training include machinists, (computer numeric control) programmers, quality technicians, manufacturing technicians and manufacturing engineers.”
The program is made up of an “advanced level, critical-thinking curriculum designed to elevate good employees into top performers,” Sinclair said in its statement on the program. “The training focuses on advanced manufacturing areas and includes topics such as lean manufacturing, job processing and six sigma.”
The 100-plus hour training will take place at Sinclair’s Advanced Integrated Manufacturing (AIM) Center, building 13 on Sinclair’s downtown Dayton campus, off Fifth Street.
