Navistar employees in Springfield have rejected a contract offer from the company.
Members voted on the offer Sunday. The Springfield UAW rejected the offer 98 percent to 2 percent, according to Chris Blizard, president of UAW Local 402.
Employees are working under an extension agreement that is scheduled to expire at 1 p.m. Tuesday, according to Blizard.
He declined further comment at this time.
