The company will build its new 84,000-square-foot manufacturing plant on a 12-acre lot at the corner of Peters Pike and Fieldstone Way. Construction is expected to take about 10 months.
Superior Abrasives President Lynne Henson said the company will invest about $6 million into the new building and related equipment.
Currently, Superior Abrasives has 85 full-time employees. The company hopes to hire 25 more workers over the next three years, officials said.
