The shop is currently opened at 72 N. Dixie Drive in Vandalia, but is moving to downtown Dayton at 110 E. Third St. Wells and other tattoo artists work by appointment for customers.
“It will be a tattoo venue unlike Dayton has ever seen,” Wells said.

Wells said the shop hopes to welcome customers as soon as Jan. 1 if all goes well. They’re pushing back the official celebration, which will include an art show, to “allow things to settle and work out the kinks.”
Wells & Co. will feature tattooing services by Wells and other artists in the area. along with curated art shows highlighting local and national visual talent, the shop’s founder said.

The tattoo venue will be based in the Fire Block District, a part of downtown named from the Great 1913 Flood that devastated Dayton.
The Ellway Group, a developer, is working to revitalize the district bordered by Second Street, St. Clair St., Fourth Street and Jefferson Street. This includes the Dickey building at 124 E. Third St., the Huffman Block Building at 111 to 129 E. Third Street and the Elks Building.
