Here’s three things to know about the manufacturer.

1. The company is a major Ohio employer.

The company, based in New Breman, in Auglaize County, has about 5,000 employees in Ohio and is one of the state’s Top 70 employers. Its workforce has grown by 50 percent in the last five years.

2. As e-commerce grows, so does Crown.

Crown makes lift trucks and material handling equipment. Those products are in-demand in the world of e-commerce, where almost anything you buy gets moved by a forklift.

3. The company is in the midst of a major expansion.

In November, Crown announced that it will invest $130 million to expand in New Bremen, creating new space for parts and finished goods. The investment includes $40 million in construction and $90 million in new equipment.
