UPDATE, Aug. 8:
The Monroe Tim Hortons location has a message on its voicemail saying, "the closing of the Cincinnati locations has not affected our store."
The Monroe restaurant is located in the Warren County portion of the city at 1255 Hamilton Lebanon Road East.
INITIAL REPORT, Aug. 7:
Butler County’s first Tim Hortons location has closed after less than one year.
No one has been answering the phone at the Tim Hortons restaurant in Oxford, and a reporter who visited the location today at 431 S. Locust St. found the doors locked and a paper ‘Closed’ sign on the door.
The Oxford store had held their opening ribbon-cutting ceremony in November 2017.
Four other Tim Hortons locations in the region also appear to have closed. The Canadian chain’s Cincinnati locations in Amelia, Colerain Twp. and Corryville and in Erlanger, Ky., have also stopped responding to phone calls
The Tim Hortons website lists the store in Corryville as ‘temporarily closed’ but has not provided any information on the other locations.
All of the Tim Hortons franchises in the area are managed by QSR7 Ventures. Neither QSR7 nor their Brazilian partner SevenInvest was able to be reached for comment.
