Time Warner and Sinclair are negotiating a new deal that would allow Time Warner to use content from 33 Sinclair stations in 21 markets carried by Time Warner and Florida cable company Brighthouse.
Dayton stations WRGT Fox 45 and WKEF ABC 22 are included, along with WSTR (STAR 64) in Cincinnati and WTTE Fox 28 and WSYX ABC 6 in Columbus.
Pedelty said Time Warner and Sinclair had not reached a deal as of Monday. Talks between the two have stalled, according to Barry Faber, executive vice president and general counsel for Sinclair Broadcast Group.
Scott Grogin, senior vice president of corporate communications for Fox Network Group in Los Angeles, declined comment.
Faber said in November that Time Warner cannot carry Sinclair’s stations without the group’s consent.
For the forseeable future, “(Time Warner customers) will get any prime-time programming we secured with Fox, which includes ‘Glee,’ ‘House’ and ‘The Simpsons,’ ” Pedelty said.
