Two Dayton-area credit unions merge

Day Air Credit Union merged with Triangle Credit Union in Kettering, effective Sunday, the credit union announced today.

Triangle Credit Union’s location in Kettering on Culver Avenue is now closed permanently, officials said. The location is less than a mile from the Day Air Credit Union location on Wilmington Pike.

Triangle’s location in Lebanon will remain open.

“This allows us to get a foothold in the growing Warren County market,” said William Burke, Day Air president and CEO.

Triangle Credit Union has around 2,100 members. The combined credit union will have more than $345 million in assets and serve more than 41,000 members.

Day Air Credit Union will have seven full-service banking locations in the Dayton area in Kettering, Centerville, Beavercreek, Butler Twp., on the Dayton VA Hospital campus, on the University of Dayton campus and now on Mound Court in Lebanon.

“We are thrilled with the merger vote,” Burke said. “As a financial cooperative, we are happy to be able to provide a new segment of our community with tailored financial solutions. Our mission is to improve our members’ financial well-being and now that Triangle member-owners are part of the Day Air family, we are excited to provide superior service as well as new and innovative products.”
