Two Dayton family-owned companies merge

Korrect Plumbing, Tobias Heating & Air Conditioning combine.

DAYTON — Korrect Plumbing Co. Inc. has merged with Tobias Heating & Air Conditioning for undisclosed terms, the companies announced Monday.

The resulting firm employs 27 field-service technicians, five estimators as well as administrative staff, executives said.

“We are combining two family owned companies with Christian values who have been dedicated for over 60 years to maintaining quality service, professional employees and devotion to our customers,” Martha Logan, president of Korrect Plumbing, said in a news release.

Tobias Heating president Tom Tobias and his staff have joined Korrect Plumbing, the release states. Logan in an interview said Tobias will remain with Korrect Plumbing for two to five years.

Tobias had no relatives who wanted to take over his company, Logan said.

The company will operate out of Korrect Plumbing’s facility at 7970 W. Third St., Dayton.

Joining the companies will allow Korrect to jointly bid on the plumbing and heating/air conditioning portions of commercial and industrial projects, Logan said.

Korrect Plumbing was established in 1950 by N. Ivan Patterson and C. Edwin Hunn. Tobias Heating & Air Conditioning was founded in 1946 by Samuel Tobias.
