Two new stores will open at the Mall at Fairfield Commons later this year, both operated by the owners of local Rose & Remington.
Curve & Cloth and Burlap & Burch, were both founded by Lebanon-based mother-daughter pair Dee Alexander and Kristen Ponchot. Nate Alexander, son to Dee and brother of Ponchot, is also a co-owner of the three stores.
Curve & Cloth is similar to sister brand Rose & Remington, but focuses on sizes XL through 3X, according to a statement from the mall. The eclectic boutique also sells accessories and jewelry.
The apparel store opened its first location in Lebanon alongside other stores owned by the Alexander family in 2017. The 3,900 square-foot Mall at Fairfield Commons store is the first location outside of the founding store, according to the statement.
Burlap & Birch’s first store also opened in 2017, offering decor, furniture, lighting and other home goods. The 4,500 square-foot store is the fourth for the brand, according to the statement.
“We look forward to the openings, as they bring additional in-demand retail options to our guests. Our goal is to add diverse tenants while we continue to enhance the overall experience for our guests and further strengthen The Mall at Fairfield Commons as the gathering place for the community,” said Mall at Fairfield Commons General Manager Leanne Rubosky. “We believe the additions of these two new stores are further steps in that direction.”
The Rose & Remington store at the Mall at Fairfield Commons opened less than a month ago. Nate Alexander previously told the Dayton Daily News that he and his family plan to continue to expand the companies across the country.
“We’ve doubled each year since we’ve been in business, we’ve got over 100 employees, and we hope to be at 40 stores in the next two years,” Alexander said in February.
