Here’s how it works: Through the Savings Race, coaches and advisors work with five teams to create a plan to improve their financial and health outlook. Teams receive free education and coaching, and participate in special challenges to teach them how to save better, borrow smarter and create a healthier lifestyle, the credit union said. Cash prizes are awarded to each of the five teams, including a $10,000 grand prize.
The contest last eight months.
“There is a direct correlation between health and finances. A decline or improvement in one area will impact the other,” said Tracy Fors, Wright-Patt vice president of marketing and business development.
Applications are being accepted through August 24. Applications are available at Wright-Patt Credit Union offices, Kettering Health and Dayton Children’s locations, and online at www.SavingsRace.com. Teams will be revealed during a special kickoff event in October.
Wright-Patt Credit Union is Ohio’s largest credit union with approximately $2.5 billion in assets, and more than 240,000 members.
