Wright-Patterson organizations award $364 million in contracts

WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE — The Air Force awarded contracts valued at more than $364 million for support for the Reaper unmanned aircraft and C-17 transport plane programs, as well as a financial management software system.

The Aeronautical Systems Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base awarded a $319.2 million contract to General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc. for 40 MQ-9 Reaper unmanned aircraft and associated equipment, the Defense Department said.

The center also awarded a $37.7 million contract to United Technologies Corp. for four F117-PW-100 engines and support services. The four Pratt & Whitney-built engines are to power a C-17 aircraft.

Integrated Data Services Inc. received a $7.4 million contarct from the Electronic Systems Center for a financial management software system that the Air Force uses for program administration.
