Devon Cunningham, 22, is facing a charge of aggravated robbery, police said.
According to police, Cunningham allegedly entered the back employee entrance of the McDonald’s on North Detroit Street around 9:40 p.m. while wearing a mask and wielding a handgun.
He ordered employees to place money from the cash register and the office in a bag and then fled on foot, police said.
No one was injured and no shots were fired.
Officers searched the nearby area with a K-9 from the Beavercreek Police Department.
Officials quickly located Cunningham at his apartment on Kinsey Road, where police took him into custody without incident, police said.
Cunningham was booked in the Greene County Jail. He was released on a $20,000 bail.

No one was hurt Monday night after a robber with a handgun held up McDonald’s.
The robbery was reported around 9:40 p.m. at the fast-food restaurant at 1645 N. Detroit St. in Xenia.
A Beavercreek K-9 team also responded to help track the suspect, but it’s not clear whether any arrests were made.
It’s not clear, what, if anything, the gunman stole because it remains under investigation, Xenia police said.
