WATCH: Cruiser stops van from rolling onto US 35 during pursuit

Dayton police cruiser camera video shows the moment a driver in a pursuit bailed from a van while it was still running and the cruiser blocks it from rolling onto U.S. 35.

The suspect, a 24-year-old Dayton man, was arrested shortly after he ran from the van at U.S. 35 and Abbey Avenue in Dayton. He was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on a parole violation, records show.

The pursuit began Monday morning after a break-in around 4:30 a.m. Monday at Manor Wine & Spirits at 5544 Airway Road in Riverside, said Riverside police Maj. Matthew Sturgeon.

It lasted for about four to five minutes, but Riverside police terminated their pursuit at East Helena Street at Stanley Avenue.
