Celebrate National Pancake Day with free pancakes

March 4 is National Pancake Day and to celebrate, IHOP restaurants are serving up a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes today to customers. In return, IHOP is asking guests to consider making a donation to designated local charities.

Since beginning the National Pancake Day celebration on March 4 in 2006, IHOP restaurants say they have raised $13 million for charity.

The restaurants have set a goal of raising $3 million this year.

The IHOP at 540 West Eaton Pike in Richmond, Ind., will be serving pancakes until 10 p.m. today to raise money for Crisis Pregnancy Centers.

IHOP also has locations in Mason, West Chester, Springdale, Forest Park and Cincinnati.
There is a limit of one free short stack per guest.
