$1.43 gourmet ice cream cones up for grabs, 4 new flavors introduced

Graeter’s ice cream parlor will celebrate National Ice Cream Day in a way that is sure to sweeten your taste buds.

The Cincinnati-based chain will sell regular ice cream cones all day Sunday for $1.43, according to a post on its Facebook page.

Graeter’s also is promoting four new test flavors.

Pints of salted caramel truffle cup, peanut butter chocolate pretzel, jazzberry cinnamon crunch and Aztec chocolate are being sold in a special bonus pack with pints of banana chocolate chip and watermelon sorbet.

The new pints only are available online for a limited time.

The new flavors will be available in store by the scoop.

“These are test flavors so we made a small amount, not enough to stock the freezers of all of our stores,” Graeter’s said in response to a question from a Facebook fan. “We are offering one flavor at a time, most stores have either Peanut Butter Chocolate Pretzel or Aztec Chocolate right now.”

The new flavors sound yummy.

Here is a description of the new flavors from Graeter’s:

Salted Caramel Truffle Cup: traditional Salted Caramel ice cream loaded with melt-in-your-mouth chocolate cups filled with sea salt caramel

Jazzberry Cinnamon Crunch: A new rich and creamy Red Raspberry ice cream combined with crunchy cinnamon cookies

Peanut Butter Chocolate Pretzel: creamy peanut butter ice cream packed with chocolate covered pretzels

Aztec Chocolate: A blend of cinnamon, ancho chili, and cayenne spices mixed with Belgian Milk Chocolate ice cream.
