Two new restaurants coming to Dayton airport

A second Starbucks coffee shop and a new Chick-fil-A restaurant are coming to the Dayton International Airport, and one of the airport’s existing restaurants will be getting a makeover, officials at HMSHost, the company that oversees food service at the facility, announced today.

The new Starbucks shop will be located on Concourse B. The new Chick-fil-A will be added to the airport’s Main Concourse. Both projects are scheduled to be complete by fall of 2013, HMSHost officials said in a news release.

HMSHost also will refurbish the Max & Erma’s restaurant on the Main Concourse this summer. The company will continue to operate MVP Sports Bar and Quiznos on Concourse B, and Concourse C will retain the 12th Fairway restaurant, as well as an existing Starbucks, HMSHost officials said.

The food-service additions and renovations are a result of a newly approved lease extension agreement between HMSHost and the airport that extends the partnership through 2020, company officials said.

Dayton International Airport Director of Aviation Terrence Slaybaugh said he’s confident the new food and beverage options “will enhance the traveler’s experience at the airport.”
