Born in Mississippi, but raised in Texas, LeAnn was steeped in country music from the tender age of 2. She gained notoriety for her singing voice at a very early age and released her first single "Blue" when she was just thirteen. LeAnn’s biggest hit to date was the crossover song "How Do I Live" which, according to Billboard charts is one of the most successful songs in American music history.
LeAnn has won an American Music Award, two Grammy Awards, three Academy of Country Music Awards, and four Billboard Music Awards. She has also appeared in movies (Coyote Ugly) and in 2005 was selected to become the host of the USA Network reality TV series Nashville Star.
Eleventh Hour is a select ensemble comprised of the top students from the Fairmont High School music department. Conceived in 2001, the group evolved from a small chamber group to a pop/a cappella band. In their five-year existence, they have performed at Wright State University’s Holiday in the Heartland as well as Dayton’s Grand Illumination and Kettering’s Mayoral Tree Lighting. Recently they have performed with Tiffin University’s Up in the Air and Internationally-renowned a capella group m-pact.
In December, Eleventh Hour learned that it had been selected as one of only six a capella groups from across Ohio to compete at the state-level National Championship High School A Capella Competition to be held in Columbus in February. Eleventh Hour is directed by Brody McDonald, director of choirs at Fairmont High School.
The Kettering Education Foundation is a non-profit entity that supplies grants to the Kettering School District. Over the past 12 years almost $140,000 has been granted back to the teachers of the Kettering School District for innovative and extraordinary programs that would not have typically received funding through standard district means.
